School trips at The Lodge
Bournemouth is the perfect place to visit on a school trip with our beautiful beaches and varieties of places to walk and experiment. The Lodge make school trips easier with our affordable stays in rooms with up to 11 beds.
The Lodge offers ideal accommodation for schools and other educational groups. The building has been purpose built for group accommodation with multi-bedded rooms.
The Lodge is just a few minutes walk from the cliff top and two hundred metres from Knyveton Gardens.
Schools that reserve accommodation at The Lodge can have sole occupancy of the building, the lead staff member would have a master key to all the rooms.
The Lodge has sufficient parking space for two coaches. Kettles and televisions are normally disabled in children’s rooms for safety.
Larger school groups can be accommodated with the use of the adjacent The Ashleigh, this sister hotel has further rooms.
Bournemouth is an ideal base for schools, Blue Flag beaches just a short walk and locally a large choice of venues to visit for education requirements as well as pleasure.
Breakfast, packed lunches and dinner is provided and students with food allergies/dietary requirements can be catered for.
Resident proprietors, Ray and Julie Bright have many years experience with schools and can tailor your school’s stay to your requirements.

Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced full English breakfast and no moaning if you asked for more or less of an item in the breakfast. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room, which were topped up each day, never had that before, usually have to beg for such things in other hotels. Hotel is near a large supermarket, maybe 15-20m walk to the beach or shopping centre. Overall, fab, thanks 🙂Penny Walters
I booked a group of 16 into The Lodge for a Stag Weekend. Accommodation is basic, but clean and perfect for our needs - as advertised. Location is ideal - near the station, adequate parking and within 10 min walk of bars and 20 mins from the Pier and the welcome was very friendly. Would book again for a similar weekend where basic accommodation at a good price is needed,Mr B Gibson
We stayed at the lodge as a group of 11 for 2 nights. It was exactly what we were after. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed (towels, soap, kettle, cups, tea bags etc.) we had two rooms between our group. Each had its own bathroom. Beds where very comfy. Easy check in and out. On site parking. Shops and cafes and restaurants right on our door step and a 2 minute walk to the train station and Asda. We will definitely be booking again.
I booked to stay at the lodge for one night, with a group of 11 people. The lodge is friendly, we were given a very warm welcome upon our arrival. The rooms are comfortable with a good shower facilities.
I'm extremely touched by their honesty, my son had forgotten his phone behind, the lodge management kindly offered to post it free of charge.Zarl
Definitely visit again, highly recommend it too.
