Large Family Rooms
Spacious Accommodation
Our Lodge building is used for groups on Friday and Saturday nights, as the
building is purpose built it has multi-bedded rooms for up to 11, so we can
accommodate the largest of families.
From Sunday to Friday morning we let the rooms as a budget option to families.
Now, this building is not a hotel, we offer clean rooms with satellite TV,
tea & coffee facilities and WiFi, at a budget price. Most rooms are ensuite and
we offer family rooms from £55.00 a night suitable for a family of four.
Larger rooms cost extra, but not a lot. Some rooms can be made as doubles.
We do not offer food in The Lodge but you may eat at the main Hotel next door,
the Ashleigh Hotel, with breakfast service, but families normally prefer
to eat at a café just around the corner. We do give out discount cards for the
Café and you can eat when you like. It is not the normal greasy spoon café,
there is a wide selection of food and you can also have any of the food from
the next door Fish & Chip shop whilst seated in the Café.
Lodge guests are welcome to use the Ashleigh Hotel's garden and bar in the evening.
The Lodge has parking, we do not guarantee this but if all guests park sensibly,
every room can park one car.
The Lodge is between the central railway and coach station and the sea. It takes
me 7 or 8 minutes to walk to the cliff top so, say 10 minutes with children. There
is a zig-zag path and a lift to the beach. There is parking on the cliff top and
also on the promenade, directly by the beach.
Bournemouth is a large town and it starts just around the corner, and goes on and on.
There are lots of activities available during the summer which makes it an ideal
place for a family holiday. With 7 miles of award winning, safe, sandy beaches,
some sections are specially designed for the safety of children and families, so
you can put coloured wrist bands on your child, then, if they should get lost
beach staff know where to look for you.
Poole is just a short drive or train journey away with its interesting quay and
trips to Brownsea Island or further afield; Christchurch and the New Forest
are just a short drive.
Lots of local attractions can be easily reached, such as the Tank Museum,
Owl Sanctuary, Monkey World, Corfe Castle, the Blue Pool, Swanage Steam Railway,
Marine Sea Life Centre and so much more to see and do.
